Dune

Dune is movement caught in concrete tiles, solid matter that feels alive. The repetitiveness of the tiling creates a dune-like wallscape of rims and edges, similar to a cadence of waves with flowing valleys. Dune is the result of our first collaboration with an independent designer. Renowned product designer Elise Luttik, who specializes in materializing illusions using transparency, iridescent effects, and breakage of light, truly captured the essence of a Novel Grey wall tile, while adding her own touch to it. Dune is emotion and technique comes together. To design such a modular piece, Luttik relied on her technical skills as an industrial engineer to make just one, exact fitting, module.
